摘要

Numerical simulations to investigate the effects of micro-heterogeneities on capillary pressure (P~c)-saturation (S)-relative permeability (K_r) relationships for two-phase flow in porous media have been carried out in this work. Fourteen combinations of sand types and heterogeneous patterns have been defined. The domains size is chosen so that it represents typical laboratory samples used in the measurements of P~c-S-K_r curves. Upscaled capillary pressure-saturation-relative permeability (P~c-S-K_r) relationships have been obtained and compared in order to determine the relative significance of the heterogeneity patterns. As a test of validity of the derived curves, they are also fitted to well-known formulae for P~c-S-K_r relationships.
