摘要

Most U.S. professors like to think that they are working hard to overcome the persistent gender imbalance in academic science. They certainly don't consider themselves to be part of the problem. But a new study by a team at Yale University suggests that they're wrong, and that gender bias is deeply rooted in the community. Last year, a team at Yale University asked 127 professors at six U.S. research universities to judge the merits of a recent college graduate who was hoping to become a lab manager before heading to graduate school.
